I am Gabriela Sanchez
I'm Gabby, the photographer and creative behind GabzCam, based in Abilene, Texas.
I've always been the person documenting everything—the big moments, the random ones, the people I love, and all the little things I know I'll want to remember later. Photography became a way for me to hold onto those moments, and eventually, a way to help other people hold onto theirs too.
My creativity doesn't really stop with photography. I'm also a designer, content creator, occasional DJ, and probably always working on some kind of creative project. Music is a huge part of who I am, I love to travel, and I'm happiest when I'm creating something that feels personal.
That's the energy I bring behind the camera, too. I want you to feel comfortable, have fun, and walk away with photographs that actually feel like you.

My philosophy
THE BEST MOMENTS AREN'T ALWAYS PLANNED.
I’ve always been drawn to the moments that happen naturally- the expressions, movement, interactions, and little details that can’t quite be recreated once they’re gone.
My approach is more observational than posed. I love being able to step back, pay attention, and capture people as they really are. It’s one of the reasons I’m so drawn to events, sports, and live music... there’s something special about anticipating a moment and preserving it exactly as it unfolds.
Of course, not every session happens naturally on its own. When direction is needed, I’ll step in and help create movement or give you something to do rather than trying to make every moment feel perfectly posed.
More than anything, I want your photos to feel alive; to remind you not only of what something looked like, but what it felt like to be there.
